...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...

Big Muddy River near Plumfield and near Murphysboro

.Moderate to major flooding continues along the Big Muddy River. At
Plumfield, the river is now forecast to crest in moderate flood
stage near 28.5 feet Friday morning. At Murphysboro, the river is
cresting currently cresting in major flood stage near 36.4 feet.

For the Big Muddy River...including Plumfield, Murphysboro...
Moderate to Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- At 10:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 28.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.5
feet Friday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
28.6 feet on 05/02/2017.

Indoor mask mandate goes into effect Monday in Illinois

WSIL -- Don't forget your mask! Starting Monday, you will need a mask, regardless of vaccination status, in indoor settings in Illinois.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker for the entire state last Thursday.

鈥淢asks work. Period,鈥� the governor said during the news conference.

While face coverings are not required outdoors, masks are strongly encouraged in crowded outdoor settings like festivals and concerts as well as for activities that require close contact with people who are not vaccinated.
