(CNN) -- If you feel the need for speed, you have a lot in common with the movie character who made a flight helmet famous.
The flight helmet was made for Tom Cruise in his 1986 blockbuster "Top Gun."
The helmet is now going on the auction block in Los Angeles and is expected to fetch more than $65,000.
Cruise played a brash-talking Navy pilot Pete "Maverick" Mitchell. The helmet has eagle stickers and "Maverick" call signs on it.
The studio says 10 helmets were made for Cruise's character, but it's unclear how this one was actually used.
If you're ready for more "Top Gun", you're in luck. A long-awaited sequel, entitled "Top Gun: Maverick" is set to release in December.
