Unsung Hero: Memorial Hospital of Carbondale SIH Staff

  • 0

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- The Coronavirus pandemic has taken its toll on many of us, but the healthcare workers have been down in the trenches fighting from day one.

A local family wanted to thank Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, especially the nursing staff, Respiratory, and the front door ladies who check you in.

Connie Cavins wrote News 3 and said her mother was a 69-year-old COVID-19 pneumonia patient whom she now calls a complete miracle. Cavins credits part of that miracle to the caring, compassion, and medical efforts of each person who had any contact with her family and her mother. She said the staff always spoke with the family and never made them feel they were a burden. She also wanted to thank the Administrators for allowing family members to visit their loved ones. She called them all miracle workers and added, "thank you for caring for our mother."
