MURPHYSBORO (WSIL) -- It's March 14 (or 3-14) which is better known as Pi Day.
Do you remember Pi from math class? 3.14 (and then a whole bunch of other numbers) is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.
Many bakeries and pizza shops across the world turn Pi Day into Pi(e) Day.
Rule of Pie, in Murphysboro , started baking up a wide range of pies in the early morning hours on Satruday.
Bakers there made about 175 pies --slicing up plenty of fruit and whisking away at creams and custards in the process.
Most of those pies got sliced up before the shop opened and then sold for $3.14 per slice.
There was a line out the door as the shop opened at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. By the time the shop closed all of the pie was gone.
