SALINE COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) The Saline County Sheriff's Office recovered multiple stolen off-road vehicles on Monday. The coordinated efforts involved several agencies and led to the capture of suspects linked to the thefts.
The first was a stolen ATV from rural Galatia. Saline County Deputy Kenny Shires recovered the vehicle with help from the Canadian National Railroad.Â
In a statement, Shires says, "Canadian National Railroad did a great job and we’re thankful for their help."
With the assistance of the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and the Eldorado Police Department, Saline County Deputy Adam Stanley located a stolen UTV from Hardin County and identified the suspect involved.Â
Saline County Sheriff Whipper Johnson also recovered another stolen UTV from Gallatin County.Â
