Big Muddy River near Plumfield and Murphysboro.

.Levels will continue to fall on the Big Muddy River, dropping
below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro
Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Sunday afternoon.

Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament championship game suspended until further notice

SESSER, ill. (WSIL) � The Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament championship game has been suspended until further notice after a player was injured.

The Sesser-Valier Athletic Department informed the public on the night of December 28.

The championship game was between Waltonville and Goreville.

The Sesser-Valier High School and Athletic Department shared the news and asked everyone to “remember the injured player, family and team in your thoughts and prayers.�

The announcement will be made by Sesser-Valier, Waltonville and Goreville if the game is to be rescheduled.
