MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- It was a Spooktacular Halloween event Friday afternoon at the Oasis in Marion where local kids were able to trick-or-treat. Families piled into their vehicles and followed a Spooktacular drive-thru route. The only requirement was everyone had to stay in vehicles and wear a costume.
Julie Campbell of "Campbell Insurance" says today's event is an organized way for the children to get out and have a little fun.
"There's definitely some happy kids especially when we hand out the bubble gum. So yeah, they love candy and the atmosphere and getting to wear their costumes," said Campbell.
The one day Spooktacular event was hosted by Withers Broadcasting.
Sixteen local businesses were along the parade route handing out goodies until supplies ran out.
