CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- A Tornado Watch has been issued for the entire viewing area until 11 PM Friday night.

A very strong system has set up the region for an overnight severe weather event. It will be a night to stay weather aware. Have multiple ways to get alerts and charge your phones. You will want something that will wake you up in the event of an emergency. If you will be out and about, know your safe place before you go.

Storms will move in as early as 5 PM and linger until as late as 4 AM.

The Storm Track 3 Team will be tracking these storms all night. Stay weather aware.
