below flood stage near Plumfield Sunday, and near Murphysboro

Survivor Empowerment Center prepares for their 25th Annual Taste of Chocolate

Satisfying your sweet tooth is about to get more expensive

Cocoa prices have been soaring � and that could drive chocolate prices higher.

(WSIL) -- The Survivor Empowerment Center in Carbondale is preparing to celebrate their 25th Annual Taste of Chocolate event. The event requires fun cocktail attire and an appetite for chocolate. The $70 ticket affords attendees a lovely dinner at Walker's Bluff Resort and Cassino, an overabundance of chocolate and an evening of auctions. We spoke with Development Specialist, Meghan Cole, who says this is the largest fundraiser for the small non-profit.
