PADUCAH, Ky. -- The Brookport Bridge has reopened in Kentucky.Â
BROOKPORT, Ill. � The U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport� Bridge is closed due to icy conditions.
The bridge reopened to drivers at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday. It has been closed since Sunday night due to the presence of ice during this week's freezing temperatures.Â
The sun and rising temperatures has allowed the ice to melt, making it safe for drivers to travel along the bridge once again.Â
The bridge crosses the Ohio River between Paducah and Brookport, IL.Â
