CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Locals and tourists alike are gearing up for the solar eclipse in Carbondale.Â
The city held its Spring Fest on Saturday to highlight local vendors. The common theme among products this year? The eclipse.
Businesses set up tents to sell custom products and highlight their services at this year's event. One vendor, Silkworm, had an entire tableful of shirts with eclipse-based designs for sale.Â

Carbondale local Travis Neal says he is excited to see the city's charm spreading to those who traveled for the eclipse.Â
"It's so nice to walk around the Strip midday on a Saturday afternoon and see it bustling with people coming and going," said Neal. "The bars and shops are busy and seeing an influx of customers. So many are in from out of town; it's nice to hear their stories about their connections to Carbondale for this 'twice' in a lifetime event."
This is the third year Carbondale has hosted the Spring Fest event. Vendors will be back on the Strip Sunday from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.Â
