CARBONDALE, Ill. -- UPDATE: Nov. 2, 11:11 a.m. -- Carbondale police said they have named a suspect in the homicide stabbing investigation from Wednesday.
Terrance D. Ware, 44 of Carbondale, has been named a suspect and has been charged with first-degree murder.
Ware is charged with murder in connection to the death of William M. Pittman, 23 of Carbondale, who's name was released as the victim in the stabbing incident in the 400-block of East Larch Street from Wednesday, November 1.
Police said Ware was alleged to have been seen leaving the area in a vehicle. Police have since located the vehicle and it has been impounded by detectives.
Ware has not been located at this time.

ORIGINAL: NOV. 1, 9:20 p.m. - One person is dead and police have not released any information on a suspect after a stabbing incident in Carbondale Wednesday night.
The Carbondale Police Department said at 7:03 p.m., officers went to the 400-block of East Larch Street for someone who was injured during a fight.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a victim with stab wounds. The victim was then taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale by the Jackson County Ambulance Service.
Police said the victim was stabbed by a man who he knew over a personal disagreement.
Police said the suspect was not at the scene when police got there.
They also said the victim later died at the hospital.
No victim or suspect information has been released at this time, however, police said this is now a homicide investigation.
