Cord McCoy Du Quoin Pro Rodeo kicks off Friday night

DU. QUOIN, Ill. -- The Third Annual Cord McCoy PRCA Du Quoin Pro Rodeo takes place this Friday and Saturday. 

The rodeo will occur in the ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois Center at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5:00 both nights. 

“Partnering with Cord McCoy and the PRCA has allowed us to grow this event year after year," said the owner, David Wolfe. "This year, we are again planning to bring in some of the nation’s top rodeo competitors and some of the nation's best country music!â€Â�

The Rodeo will feature Barrel Racing, Saddle Bronc, Bareback Bronc, Tie-Down Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Bull Riding. 

After the rodeos, guests will enjoy performances from country music stars. On Friday, crossover artist Colt Ford will bring his blend of country music with hip hop and rock and roll to the center. Ian Munsick will close the event on Saturday with some of his 20 charting singles.

Tickets begin at $20 on Friday and $35 on Saturday and can be purchased on the . Tickets include entry to both the rodeo and the concert, though there are concert-only options available.
