ELDORADO, Ill. -- Ferrell Hospital said they are reopening their doors soon after floodwaters forced them to close months ago.
Ferrell Hospital recently stated on their Facebook page they will be reopening in early August.
This comes months after a storm brought multiple inches of rainfall in Eldorado which caused flash flooding. The flooding entered their hospital facility on May 8, causing considerable water damage throughout areas of the first floor of the hospital and in the emergency department.
Since they closed, they have continued informing the public about services offered at offsite clinics, including lab services offered in nearby communities, outpatient physical therapy services and how to contact them for any procedures or appointment questions they may have.
The hospital has also had contractors and restoration teams on site throughout the closure to restore any damaged areas and help them get back to reopening their doors for the public.
Hospital staff members have also provided timely updates to keep the public informed about the status of their building during the ongoing restoration efforts.
