Church shelter

HARISSBURG, Ill. -- A church in Harrisburg will serve as a shelter during Wednesday's severe weather.

The Presbyterian Church on Jackson Street announced its shelter status on Wednesday morning. The Church says Rev. Laurie Fields helped push for this.

The church sits on 34 W. Poplar St., Harrisburg, IL, 62946. Those using the church for shelter are asked to use the lower level blue door on Jackson Street. The fellowship hall on this floor will serve as the shelter space.

The church will remain open for sheltering from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.

Presbyterian Church says dogs are available on leashes and cates in crates.
