CARTERVILLE, Ill. -- A local convenience store is helping area children who are less fortunate this Christmas season.
It’s through the Huck’s Market Karing for Kids program which is in their 18th year.
The program was crafted to help make Christmas special for children who are less fortunate and to give back to the area communities in which Huck’s Markets are located in.
Karing for Kids also provides funds and relief for area families with children who have medical treatments, helps with disaster relief, scholarships, and other programs such as local charities, Special Olympics and St. Jude.
Huck’s Market conducted fundraising efforts through multiple bake sales, corporate sponsorships and other store level fundraisers. 100% of the proceeds go to the Karing for Kids program. Money raised in that market then stays in their area to support their local residents.
The amount raised was a total of $286,638. This supports 1,974 children for the Christmas season.
If you would like to make a donation, you are asked to talk to your local Huck’s Market associate.
