I-24 WB lanes back open after crash on Ohio River Bridge

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- The westbound lanes of I-24 on the Ohio River bridge are now back open, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office.

ORIGINAL: 1:51 p.m. -- I-24 westbound lanes are closed due to a crash on the Ohio River Bridge on Monday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office alerted the public at 1:50 p.m. about the lane closures.

The sheriff's office said the westbound lanes were shut down due to a crash with injuries.

The sheriff's office is also urging the public to avoid the area. They say they hope to have the roadway cleared with an hour.
