MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- Officials have shut down I-24 westbound.Â
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office at 11:12 a.m. on Wednesday to alert drivers of the closure.Â
According to the post, both lanes on the westbound side of the highway are closed near mile marker 9.4. Deputies say the closure is due to a two-vehicle crash involving a diesel fuel spill.Â
Several agencies are reporting to the scene.Â
Drivers are urged to avoid the highway if possible. The suggested detour is at Exit 11.Â
