BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Three high school seniors have made the Illinois High School Association's 2024 All-State Academic Team.Â
From the Southern Illinois region, the following students made the team:Â
Alivia Ming, Vienna
Amiah Hargrove, Christopher
Mason Tieffel, Benton
The three local students are part of 26 selected for the team. All schools a part of the IHSA nominated one male and one female student who (one) was in his or her second semester of senior year, (two) possessed a minimum of a 3.50 GPA, and (three) had participated in any two IHSA activities during his or her junior and senior years.Â
A committee of principals, athletic directors and activities directors from IHSA schools shifted through the nominees and chose the winners based on their citizenship behaviors.Â
The IHSA has scheduled a banquet on April 8 to honor the students.Â
The IHSA revealed the full list of students who made the team on its on Wednesday morning.
