Dry and seasonable Thursday, colder Friday

December 18th Evening Weather with Meteorologist Jacie Brianne

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Clouds will stick around overnight but it will be much quieter than Tuesday night. Temperatures will be cold but seasonable, dropping into the upper 20s Thursday morning.

Temperatures

The rest of the week looks chilly, but quiet, not bad if you need to finish up last minute holiday errands. Thursday will be a seasonable and dry day. High temperatures will top out near average, in the mid 40s.

Temperatures will continue to drop Friday and into the weekend. Highs Friday and Saturday will dip back into the 30s, followed by the low 40s Sunday. Lows will also be chilly, plummeting into the low 20s Saturday and Sunday.

The good news is that while it will be cold, plenty of sunshine is expected through the weekend.

Our next chance for rain will return on Christmas Eve, accompanied by another warm up. Looks like we will be grabbing the umbrella instead of the snow boots for the holiday.
