WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- Police arrested a man on November 10 for using Meth and placing a child in the path of harm.Â
Rusty A. Leeper is under custody in the Williamson County Jail after police discovered him in a series of lies relating to these crimes during a traffic stop.Â
Police stopped Leeper near Illinois Route 148 and Interstate 57. Leeper originally told the officers his name was Frank W. Reynolds. Police were immediately suspicious when they found Leeper's license did not match this name.Â
A child sat in the shotgun of Leeper's car without a seat belt during the stop, prompting officers to arrest Leeper. Police also discovered a syringe with Meth in the vehicle.Â
Police booked Leeper with the following charges:Â
- Possession of Methamphetamine
- Obstructing Identification
- Endangering the Life or Health of a Child
- Driving While License Suspended
- Obtaining No Valid Drivers License
