WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WSIL) -- A man faces multiple charges, including homicide, in connection to a death investigation in Williamson County.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the 11000-block of Saraville Road on May 10, at 11:59 p.m. Authorities said once a deputy got to the scene, they found a 38-year-old man who had been run over by a truck in a driveway.
The victim was transported to a nearby landing zone for airlift to a regional trauma center. However, the sheriff's office said due to his worsening condition, the aircraft diverted to Harrisburg Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead on May 11 at 1:51 a.m.
The sheriff's office said they obtained a search warrant and recovered some evidence.
Authorities arrested Trevor J. Stewart, charging him with reckless homicide, aggravated driving under the influence, obstructing justice, and reckless conduct.
Stewart was taken into custody at the Williamson County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and officials say they expect additional charges.
