WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (WSIL) -- County officials informed motorists of a crash in the morning hours on Saturday, which involved multiple vehicles on I-57 near the West Frankfort area.
Illinois State Police said the crash happened at 7:13 a.m. on November 23.
The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency initially said the crash involved multiple vehicles and happened in the southbound lanes of I-57 at the 67 mile marker, just north of the West Frankfort exit.
Illinois State Police (ISP) later said the crash involved a box truck, a pickup towing a trailer and a mini-van. ISP also reported there were injuries in this crash as well.
ISP said one of the lanes was closed as emergency officials were on scene. The lanes were reopened at 8:45 a.m.
