NEW MADRID, Mo. -- Deputies are looking for a man deemed the prime suspect in a bloody attack of two victims.
Officials responded to the scene on Monday to find two victims bloody and with deep cuts. The situation occurred on Monday in the 300-block of Shelly Street in Parma.
Robert L. Waters Jr. is accused of being responsible for the crime.
Upon arriving on the scene, officials spoke to the first of two victims. This first victim was covered in blood, struggling to breathe, and had a large gash on her cheek. The other victim hid inside.Â
Investigators spoke to each of the victims to get their side of the story. The first victim accused Waters attacked her with a bottle of liquor. The second noted her injuries originated from protecting the first victim from Waters. She was found on the floor in her blood from the initial attack and she had a gash on her back.
Passing through the house, officials found two children. One was 7 years of age. The other came in at 5 months old. A release from the department said no children were injured by Waters' plan. The victims were, however, taken into a hospital out of an abundance of caution.Â
Walters received the following notices and charges:
- Felony warrant on Domestic Assault (x2), 2nd Degree
- Assault, 2nd Degree
- Army criminal action (x2)
- Endangering the Welfare of a Child creating substantial Risk (x2)
- $25,000 in cash bond
