PADUCAH, Ky. -- Police arrested a man for committing a store robbery and running from officers.

Authorities discovered Bryce Woodson, 26, of North 4th Street, during an ongoing investigation Friday afternoon. The search began on Monday into a number of reported robberies out of the local store.

Police say Woodson entered the store three times between Monday and Thursday with a gun to steal money from the cashier. Though deputies were unsuccessful in attempts to arrest the suspect during these visits, they managed to identify Woodson's car.

On Friday, deputies noticed Woodson's car, again at the store. Officials who approached say they witnessed the same criminal situation playing out a fourth time. Police approached Woodson, but the man ran. This led to a short foot chase that ended in police catching the suspect.

Police sent Woodson to the McCracken County Jail. The department experienced aid from the McCracken County Sheriff's Department and Kentucky State Police.
