Perry County calls on community to help catch alleged criminal

PERRY COUNTY, Ill. -- The Perry County Humane Society hopes to hold an alleged criminal accountable after a Facebook post went viral. 

The Humane Society took to  on Saturday afternoon to ask the community for help with the situation. According to the society's post, a man posted in local-Facebook-group "Discuss DuQuoin" and admitted he fed his dog anti freeze. 

The Humane Society hopes someone in the area has screenshots of the man's post that can be sent to the DuQuoin Police Department. 

"This man publicly admitted to a crime," said the society in a comment on the post. "Now, we need the police to investigate."
