MARION, Ill. -- Dozens of community members gathered Friday morning at the newly constructed Olive Garden in Marion for a ribbon cutting.
The new restaurant has been the talk of the area recently, with many waiting for the chance to sink their teeth in the delicious breadsticks and pasta.

Olive Garden employees and members of the community celebrated as the giant scissors sliced through the ribbon, marking the opening of the new restaurant for the public starting next week.
For the city of Marion, this comes after a new hotel broke ground a little over a week ago down the street from Olive Garden.
The official opening for Olive Garden for the public is on November 13 at 11 a.m.
Their hours of operation will be Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
