LYON COUNTY, Ky. -- Officials arrested a man on Saturday who broke out of jail over a week prior.Â
Deputies with the Lyon County Sheriff's Office began searching for Gregory S. Munsell, 30, of Princeton, when he fled the Caldwell County Jail on April 12.Â
Munsell was spotted in McCracken County on Tuesday. Officials say here he stole a 2009 Dodge pickup, which led to a manhunt. Munsell managed to escape capture and continued to run.Â
Officials next saw Munsell on Friday night around 10:00. Lyon County deputies say Munsell stole from Malloy's Korner convenience store in Lyon County and a car dealership on US 60 near Marion in Crittenden County.Â
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office said its deputies followed Munsell from the second burglary to Caldwell County and back to Lyon County. Finally, officials managed to catch Munsell at a Kuttawa business.Â
Munsell was captured in possession of the alleged stolen Dodge.Â
Officials arrested Munsell and placed him in the Crittenden County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Burglary
- Criminal Mischief
- Receiving Stolen Property -- Auto
Munsell also received the following warrants:
- Escape
- Theft by Unlawful Taking -- Auto
- Parole Violation
