...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...All of southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, southwest
Indiana, and western Kentucky.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street
flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of locally heavy rainfall over several days
will result in extreme forecast amounts of up to 1 foot of
rain that will cause the risk of flash flooding and flooding
to rise markedly and create a particularly dangerous flooding
situation.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor later forecasts and be alert for Flash Flood and Flood
Warnings. Be prepared to take action when flooding develops as this
will be a particularly dangerous situation.

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From 7 AM CDT /8 AM EDT/ Wednesday to midnight CDT /1 AM
EDT/ Wednesday Night.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Two men arrested on out-of-state warrants, charged with sexual assault

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. -- Officials arrested two young adults on out-of-state warrants related to sexual assault charges on Tuesday. 

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office and Mt. Vernon Police Department teamed up with the US Marshal Fugitive task force to hunt down the two suspects. While searching along Hemlock Ct. in Mt. Vernon, officials found Blake Christine, 24, in a home. Further investigation yielded Ethan Christie, 22, in another home on the same street. 

Officials brought the two men to the Jefferson County Justice Center. Blake and Ethan each received charges of Sexual Assault from warrants out of Michigan. 

The pair remains at the Justice Center until officials are able to transport them to Michigan. 

The sheriff's office reminds readers the pair is innocent until proven guilty in court.
