Big Muddy River near Murphysboro affecting Jackson County.

Big Muddy River near Plumfield affecting Franklin and Williamson
Counties.

.The Big Muddy River continues to rise due to heavy rain last week
and over the weekend. The river will crest on Thursday before
starting a very slow fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.0
feet early Thursday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
30.7 feet on 01/26/1949.

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Over the weekend, police arrested a Bloomington man who led officers on a chase and allegedly rammed his truck into a couple.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Saturday. Deputies were sent to a shots fired call on Candlewood Circle in southern Vigo County.

That's where a man, police identified as Dustin L. Roecker, 35, of Bloomington, allegedly rammed his truck into a parked car, with the driver standing right outside its door. 

Ron May provided News 10 with Ring doorbell camera video that shows that chaotic moment. May said he was behind the wheel of the car that was hit. 

He told police the truck rammed into him after he got out of car, hitting him and the vehicle. After being hit, May said he pulled out a gun and shot at the truck's driver.

Roecker allegedly escaped and then stole another vehicle, taking off. He was ultimately arrested in Sullivan County. 

Roecker was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds after the alleged crash intoÌý²Ñ²¹²â.Ìý

Over the weekend, police arrested a Bloomington man who led officers on a chase and allegedly rammed his truck into a couple.

May was hospitalized with leg injuries and a female passenger in his car was taken to the hospital with what police said were minor injuries. 

Roecker is currently being charged with attempted murder, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement, and auto theft.
