WSIL (Carterville) -- Another very mild but at least a quiet start to the day. Temperatures ranging from the mid 50s to the mid 60s. Patchy fog and passing clouds are moving through, but sunshine will make an appearance mid-morning.

Highs climb back into what you'd expect for early August. Mid-80s will reach the entire region, staying nearly ten degrees above average. As we head into the overnight hours, quiet conditions subside as rain chances return.Â

Not anticipating a complete washout or even for everyone to see rain, but scattered showers are possible. A front will stall off to our west, bringing this unsettled pattern. We'll need to stay weather aware for the first round that moves through tomorrow morning.Â
The Storm Prediction Center has a few of our northern most ¾ÅÓÎÌåÓý Illinois counties under a Marginal (1 out of 5) risk. There is a possibility for hail and strong winds.Â

Otherwise we're tracking fairly dry and warm conditions considering the time of the year. Not hearing too many complaints about the 80s though.Â
