THURSDAY

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- It was a seasonable and breezy afternoon. Cooler air will continue push in overnight and into Thursday. You may want to break out the heavier coats, especially for kids heading to the bus stop.

Overnight low temperatures will drop into the mid 30s by morning. However, winds will also be very breezy out of the west northwest. This will make the 30s feel more like the mid to upper 20s.

The breezy northwest winds will stick around into Thursday afternoon. It will also be much cooler. High temperatures will be near 10 degrees below average, topping out in the 40s. Highs in the 40s will stick around Friday as well.

A slight warming trend will begin by the weekend. High temperatures rise back into the low 60s by Sunday.
