West Frankfort is getting some new businesses

New Wendy's coming to West Frankfort

WEST FRANKFORT, IL (WSIL)- There's a new building going up in West Frankfort.

Officials say there's a new Wendy's being added to the the intersection of 37 and 149. Right where the gas station used to be.

The mayor says they are also getting a Starbucks, and a new dinner that will be where the old Dairy Queen was.

"I mean, everywhere in Illinois has been hit since Covid, you know, we see a lot of declines in a lot of different things, but, seeing things like this excites me because it means we're on the upswing," Arview says.

Arview says the construction for the Wendy's may look like its taking longer because they have do some work with the ground.
