Collinsville football spoils Marion's homecoming, Kahoks shutout Wildcats 57-0

Marion, Ill. -- The 4-2 Marion Wildcats welcomed 3-3 Collinsville to Wildcat Stadium on Friday night. It was a big night at Marion High School. It was senior night, homecoming and MHS honored legendary former football coach, Kerry Martin for being the all-time winningest coach in program history.

As for the game, it was all Kahoks from start to finish. The Kahoks scored on the first possession of the game, quarterback Darren Pennell decides to keep it for himself, he takes a big hit but dives into the endzone for the score. Collinsville strikes first, 7-0.

It was all gas, no breaks for the Kahoks, next drive, Pennell airs it out to Chase Reynolds, he tip-toes down the sidelines but eventually steps out of bounds. Ryan Mcintyre would find the endzone for the short score two plays later. Collinsville with a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter. 

And they kept adding to their lead, the Kahoks go on to rout the Wildcats on homecoming, 57-0 the final score. Marion has lost its last three games.
