HERRIN (WSIL) -- Who's ready for high school football?
WE are getting closer to the season kicking off. Most games will play Friday night but there's a big one Saturday August 28th.
Herrin hosts Marion. Tigers continue to improve. They went 3-2 in the spring but Herrin wants to resemble more LIKE the team that started 3-0. First year Head Coach Taylor Perry sees the improvement from his guys. It's all about attitude.
"We've got twelve days until game day," Perry said. "Really just our culture, we're continuing to work on that culture and build that brotherhood, that family atmosphere, that's my main focus right now."
"We're starting to get the basics down and move towards the more complex stuff for the offense. Everybody is starting to get it a lot better now," Herrin junior running back Reese Billingsley said.
"I like the sportsmanship," Herrin senior offensive and defensive lineman Chase Sanders said. "Everybody is there for each other, just out there kicking butt, nobody is messing around like last year."
