...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Daily heat index values up to 106.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to hot temperatures and high humidity
may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Woodlawn cruises past Cobden 57-43

NORRIS CITY (WSIL) -- There was a big crowd for the 1A sectional semi-final game at NCOE Tuesday as Cobden took on Woodlawn.

The Cardinals got hot quick as Race Rynski sends it out to Blake McKay who knocks down the shot. The senior had 31 points on the night.

Cobden's got some height. Player of the week winner Joe Brumleve makes a big stop, but the Appleknockers struggle on offense.

Blake McKay goes the distance for another bucket, putting Woodlawn up by 8.

Noah Franklin hits the jumper, chipping in with 10.

Woodlawn cruises past Cobden 57-43 and will play the winner of Goreville vs. Okawville game.
