CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - The NCAA softball bracket is set and two area programs are dancing.

Let's start with Illinois.

The Dawgs are back where they belong and they are dancing all the way to Baton Rouge.

The Salukis all full of cheering and applause. The team gathered on Sunday night to find out who they would face.

The answer is California. The Salukis and Golden Bears matchup in the NCAA regional round in Baton Rouge. #9 LSU is the host.

For the first time since 1991 the Salukis won the regular season and conference championship.

The game is on Friday afternoon at 2:30. enters with a 42-9 record and have won their last nine games.

Southeast Missouri State University will face #12 seed Arkansas in the Fayetteville Regional at 8:30 p.m. on May 17.
