SEMO wins 45-42 Overtime Thriller over Rival UT-Martin, fans provide season expectations

CAPE GIRARDEAU, (MO) - SEMO football played in one of its wildest games in history on Saturday.

News 3 Spoke with Redhawk fans prior to the game as they share their season expectations for the red and black.
"I'm not going to lie. The expectation is high for the season. We'd like to win a conference championship and go from there get into the playoffs and see what we can do. We are really excited about that, this is just a great time to be a SEMO Football fan, Dennis Riney said."
"It's great for our economy, I mean people come to Cape Girardeau because of the Game but they eat in our restaurants and shop in our shops and spend money here and that's great for our economy and we all need that in our region, Tracey Glenn said."
"I genuinely believe that an OVC Championship again, get to go into the playoffs. The only thing holding them back is them and they are not going to let that happen.my belief is there is going to be an OVC Championship, Joe Hobbs said."
