Dry and warm to end the week

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Quiet and cool conditions will stick around through the evening and overnight. Low temperatures will be cooler, dipping into the low 40s by Friday morning. 

Overall, Friday will be a mild day. Partly cloudy and dry conditions will continue, accompanied by more warm temperatures. Afternoon highs will stay above average, topping out in the mid 60s. 

Our next storm system is set to move in this weekend. This will ramp up the chance for rain Saturday and into early Sunday. Projected rainfall totals range between 0.5" and just under 2".

High temperatures each day remain warm. Highs will stay above average, ranging between the mid to upper 60s.
