Gloomy and damp Friday forecast

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- A nasty day overall with that overnight rain leaving us damp everywhere through the first half of the day. We have also sustained a few areas of light showers, mist, and drizzle to add to the gloom. If there is any bright side its that our temperatures remain above average. Highs today got into the mid and upper 50s areawide. These warmer than average temperatures will stick with us through early next week.

Progressing through the day we should continue to see overcast skies and few isolated areas of mist and drizzle continuing. Most of us should be fairly dry and that should be the case for tomorrows morning and afternoon commute. It is not until we get later in the day on Saturday when we expect another area of heavy rain to move through the region.
