Seasonably Warm and Dry

  • 0

Dry weather is expected across Southern Illinois today and for much of Thursday. Temperatures will be near seasonal norms, warming up to the mid-80s.

An upper-level disturbance across the Southern Plains is forecast to lift northward Thursday into Friday. This system will bring increasing chances for showers and storms late Thursday afternoon and into Friday. The best chances for rain will be during the afternoon hours over the weekend.

While temperatures will remain in the low 80s, the humidity will increase with dew points rising into the lower 70s by the weekend. Looking ahead to early next week, there is a chance for showers and storms to continue.
