Carterville (WSIL) -- Temperatures today expected to warm up nicely into the 60s for much of the region with a healthy run of sunshine. A wonderful day to enjoy the dry time as our next cold front approaches for tomorrow.

Not expecting any frost tonight as temperatures should remain in the 50s for lows. Tomorrow we start the day mostly sunny but will gradually build in the clouds through the day. The winds will also pick up with gusts around 25 - 30 mph. We should be mostly cloudy by the evening with ain moving in from NW to SE. Not expecting any severe weather whatsoever but a few rumbles of thunder cant be ruled out. Generally the rain wont last too long with rainfall amounts around a quarter of an inch for most of the area. But if you are out and about in the evening you'll want to take it slowly on wet roadways.
We should dry off and warm up for Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures back into the 70s and partly to mostly cloudy conditions.Â
