Rain chances continue; highs in the 80s for second half of the week

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- The rain showers will start decreasing, however, lingering pop up showers are still possible throughout the day.

When you wake up this morning, temps will be at around 60 degrees with calm winds and mostly cloudy conditions. There will still be a chance for isolated thunderstorms and rain throughout the day, but it won't be a washout. Highs will be in the mid 70s with relatively calm winds.

Tonight will be still warm with temps dipping into the upper 60s by the time you go to bed.

For Wednesday, we will start seeing those 80s settling in the region. We are expected to hit in the low 80s with partly cloudy conditions and winds out of the SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

For Thursday, there will be considerable cloudiness with highs around 85 with winds out of the south at 15 to 25 mph.

On Friday, we are watching the possibility of another system coming through with a few isolated thunderstorms developing in the afternoon hours.
