CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Patchy fog will be possible overnight and into Thursday morning. This could limit visibilities for the early morning commute. Aside from the fog, it'll be another chilly start to the day with temperatures in the mid 40s.

Temperatures will begin to climb by the afternoon, but overall it will still be comfortable. High temperatures will be back near average, topping out in the upper 70s.

The above average temperatures return by Friday, with highs in the low 80s. The low to mid 80s will continue through the weekend.

The mild temperatures will be accompanied by plenty of sunshine. It'll be a great weekend for fall festivities.
