
WSIL(Carterville, Ill.) -- This morning, we are tracking temperatures that are certainly on the chilly side across the area, with lots of mid 30s coming in. Winds are also breezy, out of the northwest at 15 to 25 miles per hour.Â
For the rest of the evening, we are tracking temperatures that will continue to be on the cold side, running near the freezing mark by 7 or 8 in the evening. Skies will be overcast. However, overnight, skies will clear and winds will gradually become less gusty. Morning lows tomorrow will be in the lower 30s across most of the region. Winds will make it feel more like the lower 20s though. Skies tomorrow will be mostly sunny, and mostly sunny conditions will last all day. Temperatures for tomorrow afternoon's high will be running in the upper 40s to lower 50s area wide. So, we will be slightly below average in terms of highs, but much warmer.Â
For Friday, expect to see the return of a few clouds. Temperatures will be in the upper 30s for Friday morning's lows, and into the lower 60s for afternoon highs. A few isolated showers are possible Friday afternoon and evening, as a weak cold front pushes through the area.Â
Dry conditions will persist through the weekend and early next week. temperatures also do look to be running above normal Sunday through next week. Highs could be pushing 70 Monday and Tuesday.Â
