Weekend

CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- After a cold end to the week, a warming trend will begin this weekend. Temperatures will remain cold Saturday morning, with lows dropping into the 30s, but the afternoon will bring some relief.

High temperatures will rise into the low 50s Saturday, followed by the low 60s Sunday. On Sunday highs will be nearly 10 degrees above average. Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies are expected each day, accompanied by dry conditions. It should be a nice weekend to get out.

Enjoy the warmth, big changes return next week. Our next cold front will arrive Monday, this will bring a chance for scattered light showers. It does not look like a washout. However, it will bring another hefty cool down.

Behind the front, highs will drop back into the 40s, with another system anticipated around the holiday. It's looking like rain could impact travel plans Wednesday and Thursday.
