CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- Slightly warmer to start Monday morning with temperatures in the lower 40s. A few showers moving through Western Kentucky will wrap up quickly and the region will return to mostly cloudy skies through the day.
Despite light winds from the north, temperatures will jump about 10º compared to the weekend. Mid 50s Monday afternoon will make for a decent day for folks looking to escape the stir craziness of the indoors to head outside for a walk or jog.
Our next weather maker arrives Tuesday as a big system moves from the Plains to the Midwest. Showers and a few thunderstorms are likely much of the day. An isolated strong storm can't be ruled out with hail and gusty winds.
