CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- It was a beautiful start to the weekend but the chance for storms ramps up tonight and into Sunday.
We've seen plenty of sunshine throughout the day but if you have plans to be out late tonight you may want the rain gear. The chance for storms will slowly increase this evening and overnight tonight. The potential for heavy rain and lightning will be the main threats.
The storms will stick around into Sunday morning, making it a soggy start to the day. The chance for storms should diminish from northwest to southeast into the afternoon.
High temperatures will be close to average, topping out in the upper 80s.
