The increased moisture will mean the humidity will be notably higher Friday, but it will also bring a chance for a few showers and t-storms, mainly during the afternoon. The highest chances for wet weather will be across far southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and the Missouri Bootheel.

Temperatures will range from the mid 80s across southern Illinois where rain chances are lowest, to the upper 70s and lower 80s in western Kentucky where storms are more likely.

There won't be much change on Saturday as scattered showers and storms will be most likely south of Route 13 in southern Illinois and then areas of western Kentucky.

The main threat from storms will be isolated very heavy rain and lightning.

As the remnants of Nicholas finally begin to lift northeast on Sunday, scattered showers and storms will become a bit more likely across southern Illinois.

Tuesday, a strong cold front is forecasted to move through. Widespread wet weather is expected, followed by the biggest blast of cool air so far this season.
