CARTERVILLE (WSIL) -- More southerly flow leaves a chance for midday showers in Saturday's forecast.
Not everyone will see rain today, but a chance for early afternoon showers exists primarily for those in southeast Missouri and southern Illinois. Beyond that, partly cloudy skies will likely occupy the rest of the daylight hours. More clouds will move in the evening ahead of a much better chance for widespread rainfall, and even thunderstorms, on Sunday.
Temperatures Saturday will be a bit warmer than Friday, topping out in the low 60s. Increased moisture will likely moderate Sunday's morning lows, and afternoon highs. Expect low/high temperatures Sunday in the low 50s/low 60s respectively.
